External Transfers

Adding a Personal External Account

You have the ability to link your private accounts at other financial institutions to your Online Banking with us so you can easily transfer money between the two! When you begin to add another account, you are asked to verify your ownership of that account by confirming two micro-deposits that Topside FCU makes into the external account.

Click the “Transfers” tab from the main menu and click “Add External Account”.

  1. Enter the account number.
  2. Select the account type from the drop down menu.
  3. Enter the routing number of the financial institution. These numbers are located on the bottom of a paper check or deposit slip from your check book.
  4. Click continue.

Note: In 2 to 3 business days, micro—deposits will appear in your external account. Once you receive those deposits, go to the “Verify External Account” tab to add the account. If you’d like to remove a linked member to member or external account, please call us at 540.663.2181 or visit one of our branches.

Business accounts do not qualify for external account transfers.
