Online Banking Upgrade FAQs
Upgrade Timing and First Login
Q: Why did you change the Online Banking system?
A: We upgraded our Online Banking system to enhance security and provide a more modern, user-friendly experience across all devices.
Q: Why will Online Banking be down on the 8th and 9th?
A: In order to properly upgrade the platform, we need to close the site for two days. We understand this is an inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.
Q: Can I still access my funds while Online and Mobile Banking are down?
A: Yes. You will still be able to use your cards as normal. Branches and ATMs will be operating as normal. You will not be able to perform any online activity like making new transfers or bill payments and making mobile deposits.
Q: Will my scheduled transfers still process on the 8th and 9th?
A: Yes, ACH, Bill Pay, Debit Card and Merchant Payments will process as usual during our downtime. Please note that recurring Online Banking transactions scheduled for June 9th will likely post a few hours later than normal.
Q: Do I need to download a new app?
A: Yes, an updated app is available in the App Store and Google Play. Please download the latest version to access the new features.
Android/Google Play - Download Here
Apple/App Store - Download Here
Q: What will I need to do on the 10th?
A: You will need to visit topsidefcu.org to log in. Upon logging in, you will need to update your password. Once your password is updated, you’re good to go! You will need to customize your alerts again and we recommend ensuring your linked accounts and scheduled transfers look correct. You will also need to update your Mobile Banking app in the App Store or Google Play.
Q: Will anything be missing on the new site?
A: Only 18 months of transaction history will be viewable in the upgraded platform. If you would like more history than that, you will need to download your transaction history from the current site before we upgrade.
Functionality and Instructions
Q: Will push notifications work like the previous app, and will I need to set them up again?
A: Push notifications will work the same way; however, you may need to enable them again. To turn them on, sign into the app, select More > Tools > Settings > Push Notifications, and allow push notifications. Then you can customize your alerts by selecting More > Tools > Alerts.
Q: How do I rearrange my accounts (shares) on my dashboard?
A: By default, accounts are grouped by account type (e.g., Checking, Savings, Loans, Certificates). To reorder them in a browser, go to Tools > Settings > Accounts > Organize Accounts, then drag and rearrange as needed.
Q: Will I still be able to see my joint accounts?
A: Yes. Joint accounts will continue to appear alongside your primary accounts and are identified with a two-person icon. You can also color-code and group accounts for easier identification.
Q: How do I transfer funds?
A: Select Move Money. From there, you can transfer between your accounts, add an external account, send money to another member, or schedule Bill Pay.
Q: Will this affect my Bill Pay or automatic/recurring transfers?
A: No, your existing Bill Pay payments and recurring transfers will continue as scheduled. We recommend reviewing them after logging in to ensure all details are correct.
Q: How can I view a check copy?
A: In your transaction history, click on the check number to view an image of the check.
Q: How can I reset my password, change my Login ID, or unlock my account?
A: In the app: Select More > Tools > Security Settings to update your username or password. In a browser: Go to Tools > Security Settings to make updates.
Q: Will my card reward points (uChoose) transfer over?
A: Yes, your rewards points will transfer automatically. The uChoose Rewards program is not affected by the Online Banking upgrade.
Q: I'm missing some cards from My Cards, where did they go?
A: Any cards that you previously added to My Cards yourself will need to be added manually again. We were unable to transfer those over with the upgrade. You can re-add cards like joint debit cards by swiping through your card graphics on the My Cards screen until you get to the "Add Card" button.
Q: Where can I find my uChoose Rewards points?
A: You can access your rewards through the Online Banking by selecting Accounts > My Cards.
Q: What are the password requirements?
A: Passwords must be at least 12 characters long and include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.
Q: What if I need to access more than 18 months of transaction history?
A: If you need to access transaction history from longer than 18 months ago, you can rely on your statements or come into a branch and we can print a mini-statement for you for a $5 fee.
If you need a copy of a check from more than 18 months ago, you will need to either call in, submit a secure message, or come into the branch so we can print that for you!
